Collin Samuels, also known as Pastor Sammy of the People’s Restoration Ministries in Essequibo has been charged with rape.
He appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s court on August 23 before Magistrate Esther Sam.
He pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him and was granted $150,000 bail.
The court heard that on April 02, 2022, the victim was given a drink and became dizzy after a while. She reportedly asked to be taken home but the Pastor did not. He later raped her.
The victim filed a police report, resulting in the arrest of Samuels.
