A motorcyclist who is yet to be identified died Sunday evening in an accident Palmyra, Region Six.
Police sources disclosed that the accident involved a motorcycle and car and occurred at about 19:00hrs at the entrance of the Berbice River Bridge.
Efforts are being made to identify the deceased but based on pre-liminary information, the car was headed east and the motorcycle was headed west
Reports indicate that the motorcyclist was reportedly “looking back” while riding and rode into the path of the car bearing license plate number PPP 2020.
The motorcyclist collided with the car and fell off the bike, hitting his head in the process.
He succumbed to his injuries at the accident scene and was pronounced dead by a doctor subsequently.
A motor cycle may be fun to ride but it is a serious weapon of destruction if it is not used with much care and precaution.
