Doctor stumbles on skeletal remains while crabbing

Police investigators on Sunday removed skeletal remains from an area identified as “Sea Dam” at Sister’s Village, West Bank Demerara.

A statement from Police Headquarters noted that a report was made by 27-year-old Yeulus Allicock, a Doctor from Sister’s Village.

He called the police at about 19:30 hrs on Sunday and reported that at about 15:00 hrs, whilst with some friends crabbing, they stumbled upon a skull.

They later made a report at Wales Police Station and an investigation was launched.

On Monday, at about 09:00 hours, the scene was visited by a team of Policemen.

Searches were carried out in the area where several skeletal remains were found.

It was photographed and retrieved by the team and later taken to Criminal Investigations Department.

A forensic examination is scheduled for Wednesday.
