Guyana recorded 30 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday after 504 tests were conducted, taking the overall number of confirmed cases since March 2020 to 71, 035.
The new cases were recorded in Region Two (one case), Region Three (two cases), Region Four (23 cases), Region Five (one case) and Region Six (three cases).
There are three patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, seven are in institutional isolation and 229 are in home isolation.
To date, 69, 518 have recovered and 1, 278 have died from the dreaded virus.
