Cosmetologist charged with cyberbullying released on bail

A 50-year-old cosmetologist was on Wednesday released on $150,000 bail for a cybercrime violation committed against a Kitty businessman.

Jennifer Williams of Gordon Street, Kitty appeared before Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Particles of the charge alleged that Williams, between September 13 and December 17, 2021, used a cellular phone to publish libelous information about Brad Singh with the intent to harass and cause him substantial embarrassment.

The prosecutor did not disclose the facts of the case or made any objection to Williams being released on bail.

Magistrate Bess adjourned the matter until September 14.
