BREAKING: Essequibo boys shine at CSEC exams

Ramoll Baboolall and Uotam Heeralall, two students from the Anna Regina Multilateral School in Region Two (Pomeroon- Supenaam), scored the most Grade one passes at this year’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations.

Baboolall got 24 Grade One passes and three Grade two passes, while Heeralall got 24 Grade one passes and one Grade two pass. Though Baboolall has passes in three other subjects and Heerall has a pass in just one other subject, an assessment of their subject areas will have to be done to determine which one of them would emerge as the best performer.

Daniel Dowding copped 22 Grade One passes and three Grade Two passes, while Chavelle Solomon copped 19 Grade One passes and two Grade Two passes.

Across Guyana, 28 candidates secured 12 Grade One passes or more, and numerous other top performers emerged from the Anna Regina school. Daniel Dowding copped 22 Grade One passes and three Grade Two passes, while Chavelle Solomon copped 19 Grade One passes and two Grade Two passes.

Other top students include: Saskia Twahir from Queen’s College who copped 21 Grade One passes and one Grade Two pass; Kripa Thana from Queen’s College with 18 Grade One passes.
