A 45-year-old man of Better Hope, East Coast Demerara died after he lost control of the car he was driving on Sunday afternoon.
Dead is Omar Khan. Police Headquarters reported that the accident occurred at Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara at about 14:50hrs.
According to reports, Khan was proceeding south along the Melsha Access Road at Mon Repos when he lost control causing the car to flip and come to a stop in a nearby trench. Police said he was speeding at the time.
He was pulled out of the motorcar by public-spirited persons in an unconscious state and pronounced dead at the scene by EMTs.
