The new crop of First Form students will start school on October 3, the first Monday in the new month, Education Minister Priya Manickchand said on Friday.

The minister, who was responding to questions from members of the media, said that the Education Minister worked to release this year’s National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) results at the earliest to accommodate the students’ early entry to school.

The results of this year’s assessment were announced on Friday at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre at Liliendaal, Georgetown.

Though the results have been announced, the minister said that there will be no classes- online or otherwise- until October for these students.
