Another five people have been infected with the disease COVID-19, based on information provided by the Ministry of Health.
With these new cases, the total number of COVID-19 infections recorded in Guyana since March 2020 has increased to 71, 191.
These new cases were recorded in: Region Four (three cases) and Region Six (two cases).
Importantly, there are no patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU). There are, however, eight persons in institutional isolation and 158 in hone isolation.
There have been 1,279 deaths and 69,746 recoveries.
