The government has suspended the three per cent processing fee on the invoice price from milk and dairy products, a notice from the Ministry of Agriculture said.
This move takes immediate effect, with the ministry instructing the Guyana Livestock Development Authority (GLDA) to discontinue the collection of the fee.
It was, however, noted that all sanitary requirements for the importation of milk and dairy products remain in enforced.
