A line-up of purely Guyanese performers will fuse their voices, talent and energy on Saturday night in what is anticipated to be a riveting One Guyana mega concert at the National Stadium, Providence.
The show, featuring local and overseas-based artistes, will form part of the exciting Cricket Carnival events being staged to coincide with the Hero Caribbean Premier League matches in Guyana.
Guyana will host the backend of the tournament, including the knockout games and final, from September 21-30 at the Stadium.
Saturday’s mega concert will cater to a diverse audience, with different genres of music set to grace the stage in a fusion of Guyanese culture.
Confirmed to perform are Timeka Marshall, Alabama, Nekeita, Saiku, Drew Kush Gully, Azariel, Adrian Dutchin, Calvin Burnett, Mark Batson, Natural Black, Samuel Medas, Big Red, Brandon Harding and Vanilla.
On the chutney side, Terry Gajraj, Vanita, Vicadi Singh, Tony Cuttz and Bunty Singh will bring the vibe.
The Cricket Carnival activities will also feature a Jazz, Art and Fashion Show, Carnival Pageant, Horse Racing, Amerindian Night, City Nights, a Regional Food Festival, Boat Cruise, Linden Regatta, Super Concerts, a Road Parade and much more.
All eyes will be on Guyana as the country puts on a spectacular show featuring sport, culture and entertainment.
