A total of 17 new COVID-19 cases were recorded by the Ministry of Health after 261 tests were done in the last 24 hrs.
The new cases take the total number of COVID-19 infections recorded in Guyana since March 2020 to 71, 239.
These new cases were recorded in: Region One (one case), Region Two (two cases), Region Three (four cases), Region Four (eight cases), Region Five (one case) and Region Seven (one case).
There are no patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Eight persons are in institutional isolation and 117 are in home isolation.
There have been 1,280 deaths and 69,834 recoveries since the pandemic started here.
