A 63-year-old vendor died after he was struck down by a speeding car along the Adventure Public Road on the Essequibo Coast on Thursday night.
Dead is Ameer Ali, popularly known as “Greens boy” of Adventure.
The News Room understands that the driver of the car fled the scene but was later apprehended by police. He is currently in custody assisting with the investigation.
Ali was known for riding his bicycle and selling vegetables on the Essequibo Coast.
