Berbice man, 29, arrested with $3.5M worth of ganja

Ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) on Wednesday arrested a 29-year-old resident of Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam after he was found with just over eight pounds of marijuana with a street value of $3.5 million.

Andrew Samuel Sealey was found with the marijuana in his bag. CANU, in statement, said the illegal drug was concealed in five black plastic bags.

CANU reminds the general public to be aware of illegal activities occurring in and around their communities and not be hesitant to report it to law enforcement.
