Seven people were infected with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of infections confirmed in Guyana since March 2020 to 71,311.
Based on the information provided in the Health Ministry’s daily COVID-19 dashboard on Friday, these new cases were recorded after 209 tests were done.
The new cases were recorded in the following regions: Region Four (six cases) and Region Six (one case).
There are no patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) however, there are five persons in institutional isolation and 100 persons in home isolation.
Thus far, 69,925 patients have recovered from the virus and 1,281 deaths were recorded.
