Despite the best efforts of the groundstaff at the National Stadium, Providence, on Sunday morning, Jamaica Tallawahs and St. Lucia Kings had to settle for an equal share of the points as a wet outfield forced an abandonment.

The toss was possible with Tallawahs winning and opting to bowl first, however, the rain came after and kept the players indoor.

The cut-off time for a five-over game was 13:11h, and after an inspection at 12:50h the outfield was deemed too wet to allow for play.

The outcome means Tallawahs and Kings are both on nine points, the same as Guyana Amazon Warriors.

With net run rate separating the three, Kings are second, Tallawahs third and Warriors fourth. Barbados Royals lead the table with 16 points.

The final game of the preliminary stage is between Warriors and Royals this evening from 19:00h. A win for Warriors will take them to number two on the points table, thereby giving them two shots at making the final.
