Four new COVID-19 infections were recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health’s COVID dashboard on Friday.
The new cases were recorded after 183 tests were conducted.
These cases take the total number of infections confirmed in Guyana since March 2020 to 71, 340.
These new cases were recorded in Region Three (two cases) and Region Four (two cases).
There are no patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU). However, there are four persons in institutional isolation and 66 persons in home isolation.
Thus far, 69,989 patients have recovered from the virus and 1,281 deaths were recorded.
