The Guyana Police Force has issued a wanted bulletin for Keron Taylor in connection with the murder of 19-year-old Rawle Samuel Grannum.

Taylor’s last known address is 83 Adelaide Street, Charlestown, Georgetown. If seen or anyone who has information about the whereabouts of Taylor please contact the police on 225 – 6940, 225-8196, 226 – 7476,  225 – 2317, 227 – 1149, or the nearest police station

In October 2020, Taylor walked out of the High Court a free man after spending five years on remand for the murder of Senassie Lewis who was gunned down at a bar in Albouystown, Georgetown in 2015.

Taylor is one of six men who reportedly beat Grannum on Friday last at the Route 45 bus park in Georgetown.

The dead teen, a student of the Georgetown Technical Institute (GTI), died three days after he was beaten by the gang.

Relatives told the News Room that his skull was fractured in two places and he suffered internal bleeding. The young man never regained consciousness. He was the only child of his parents and lived at Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara.

Earlier on Tuesday, Regional Commander Simon McBean told the News Room that police have so far managed to identify one of the suspects.

“Based on our analysis it appears that eight persons including the deceased and someone else and the six persons were involved. We are reviewing footage and doing an investigation,” McBean stated.

On Friday evening, Rawle was standing with a friend at the Route 45 bus park when they were attacked by the gang. The friend was injured to his left arm.

The family remains baffled as to why the young man was attacked. One of his aunts, Marcia Grannum explained that it might be a case of ‘mistaken identity.’

“My nephew was not at school on Thursday, he went to sports with his father so we don’t know if they had any fight or so because somebody was saying they were looking for a guy and they thought my nephew was the person but it wasn’t my nephew,” the dead teen’s aunt said.

Before the young man collapsed, he told his father that he did not recognise any of the suspects.

Is this wanted man one of the “victims” we keep hearing about from de riggin’ crew? He might not have had a good home life, but if he doesn’t know that murder is wrong he needs to be locked up.
