Some teachers to get ‘Manager’s Holiday’ on Wednesday
Some teachers in the public school system will get a Manager’s Holiday on Wednesday as local stakeholders celebrate World Teachers’ day.
Based on a notice issued to the headteachers of some schools, this holiday is meant to allow teaching staff to “celebrate and bond”. It is also being granted to recognise teachers’ contributions to the delivery of quality education to the nation’s children.
The notice seen by the News Room was signed by Chief Education Officer Dr. Marcel Hutson.
The News Room understands that this holiday was granted on request from some schools. It is not applicable to all schools.
