Seasoned campaigner Trevon Griffith will lead a youthful President’s XI in the upcoming Senior Inter-County 50-over tournament organized by the Guyana Cricket Board.
According to a release from the GCB, West Indies Under-19 captain and fellow opening batsman, Matthew Nandu, will be his deputy as they start their campaign on October 10 against Essequibo at the Everest Cricket Club.
Furthermore, it was revealed that national youth player Mavendra Dindyal, who recently scored a century in this year’s Regional Under-19 tournament, will also suit up for President’s XI along with off-spinning all-rounder, Jonathan Rampersaud, who was the leading wicket-taker in the aforementioned tournament.
Guyana Harpy Eagles’ reserve pacer Shamar Joseph, left-arm spinners Raj Nannan and Akini Adams, off-spinning all-rounder Kwesi Mickle and fast bowlers Joshua Jones and Keyron Fraser are also included.
Esan Crandon will act as Coach while Andre Percival will be the Assistant Coach/Manager.
