Seven new COVID cases recorded
Seven new COVID-19 cases were recorded over the past 24 hours, based on information provided by the Ministry of Health in its daily COVID-19 update released on Friday.
The new cases were recorded in Region Four (five cases) and Region Six (two cases) after a total of 224 tests were done.
Now, a total of 71, 368 cases have been recorded in Guyana since March 2020.
Importantly, there are no patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, but there are one persons in institutional isolation and 69 persons in home isolation.
Thus far, 70,017 patients have recovered from the virus, but 1,281 people have died.
