Another person was infected with the novel coronavirus, based on information provided on Monday through the Ministry of Health’s daily dashboard.
The new case was recorded after 30 tests were conducted over a 24-hour period. The total number of COVID-19 infections recorded locally since March 2020 has increased to 71,404.The infected person, a female, is from Region Four (Demerara- Mahaica).
Meanwhile, there are two patients in institutional isolation and 44 persons are in home isolation.
Thus far, 70,077 patients have recovered from the virus but 1,281 people have died.
