A 26-year-old man of Bartica was on Tuesday granted $150,000 bail for the offence of rape.
Police Headquarters reported that Yusuf Hinds is accused of raping an underage girl between October 1, 2022 and October 27, 2022.
The accused appeared at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court where the charge was read to him; he was not required to plea to the indictable charge and was placed bail.
The matter is adjourned until November 21, 2022.
