Archery Guyana to be represented at XXVI Pan American Championship

Guyana will be represented at the XXVI Pan American Championship in Santiago, Chile, from November 21-27, Archery Guyana Secretary-General Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon has announced.

Carrying the flag will be Wayne DeAbreu and Devin Persaud Permaul.

“Archery Guyana has been growing and expanding throughout Guyana, with the aim of putting Guyana on the map through the sport of Archery since this is an Olympic sport,” Archery Guyana said in a press release.

“This tournament is a World Ranking Event and will be the main Qualifier Tournament for the SANTIAGO 2023 Pan American and Para Pan American Games. The tournament will be held at the Bernardo O´Higgins National Military Academy in Las Condes County in their capital city, Santiago.”

Persaud-McKinnon has expressed thanks to Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Charles Ramson Jr., and the National Sports Commission for their support.
