Trinidad and Tobago Red Force moved top of the table in Group B after beating Guyana Harpy Eagles by six wickets with 93 balls remaining on Wednesday at the Queen’s Park Oval.

Harpy Eagles were bowled out for 182 in 45.2 overs, the second match in a row they were dismissed below 200, and the host then made light work of the chase which was partially affected by rain.

Harpy Eagles, 62-2 in the 15th then slipped to 97-8 in the 32nd over until Romario Shepherd (56) and Gudakesh Motie (39*) added 79 for the ninth wicket.

Shepherd blasted four fours and three sixes in his 50 balls while Motie struck three fours and one six off 47 balls.

Yannic Cariah was the pick of the bowlers with 3-30 while Shannon Gabriel got 2-25 and Akeal Hosein 2-52.

Red Force then raced 183-4 from 34.3 overs compliments of quick-fire and unbeaten half-centuries from Jyd Goolie and Nicholas Pooran.

Goolie smashed five maximums and two fours in his run-a-ball 58 while Pooran was equal to the task with five sixes as well and one four off of 47 balls in their stand of 155 for the fifth wicket.

Motie snared 2-44 and Clinton Pestano had 1-14.

Harpy Eagles, currently in the second position, play their final preliminary match on Saturday against Combined Campuses and Colleges and will need a win to secure a semi-final spot.
