Human skeletal remains found in abandoned house at Mahaica
Skeletal remains were found in an abandoned house at Coconut Walk, Lancaster, Mahaica on Thursday.
Relatives of Rodrick Applesammy, a 33-year-old man, suspect that the remains might be him.
Rodrick’s brother, Alvin Rambishun, of Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara, told Police that he was out at sea when he received information from some of his workmates that his brother was dead.
According to Rambishun, his brother resided at the abandoned house where the remains were found.
The matter was reported to the Police, who processed the scene and removed the skeletal remains.
The remains were subsequently taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
