Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 53-year-old Gangaram Ishram of Industry, East Coast Demerara.
A statement from the Guyana Police Force said Ishram was found submerged and in a sitting position on a bicycle in a trench in front of the Ogle Centre Ground at about 06:05hrs on Thursday.
He was wearing a yellow stripe shirt and blue jeans.
Police said no marks of violence were observed on the body.
The dead man’s sister, Carol Ishram, identified the body and mentioned that her brother was an alcoholic and had no medical illness.
