A 53-year-old man who went missing on Monday was discovered dead in a well at Tabatinga, Lethem on Thursday.
Dead is Michael Adolph of Tabatinga.
Police Headquarters reported that the man lives with his 23-year-old daughter. She said she last saw him on Monday at about 05:30 hrs when he left home.
On Thursday, at about 17:30 hours, a 40-year-old housewife from the area went to fetch water from the well and discovered the man’s body face down inside.
The matter was reported to the Lethem Police Station.
The body was retrieved from the well and examined for marks of violence. Police said two small cuts were seen on the forehead and head.
The body is presently at the Lethem Hospital’s mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
The investigation is ongoing.
