Police are on the hunt for a 36-year-old driver of Kwakwani airstrip in Region 10 in connection with the fatal stabbing of 30-year-old Joshua Dianid, a truck driver of Kwakwani. The suspect’s wife was also injured during the attack.
Police Headquarters reported that Dianid and the suspect’s wife were drinking beers at Bushpool at about 02:10hrs on Sunday. At the time, the suspect then approached Dianid and an argument ensued during which the suspect armed himself with a broken bottle and start stabbing his wife and Dianid.
They were then rushed to the Kwakwani Hospital Complex where Dianid later died. The suspect’s wife is said to be in a stable condition, police reported.
Investigations are continuing.
