British citizen fined $15,000 for assaulting ‘Guyanese Critic’

Olivia Reneesia Bazilio, a 28-year-old British citizen, was on Monday fined $15,000 after she assaulted known social media personality Mikhail Rodrigues called ‘Guyanese Critic’.

Bazilio appeared before Magistrate A. George on Monday at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court on the East Coast of Demerara (ECD).

There, she was charged and pleaded guilty to the offence of Assault- contrary to Section 21 of the Summary Jurisdiction (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:02.

Police Headquarters reported that the woman resides at Lot 281 Blue Saki Drive South Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
