Two men from Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) are the latest COVID-19 fatalities, the Ministry of Health on Monday reported in its daily COVID dashboard.
The two men, aged 96 (vaccination status unknown) and 43 (unvaccinated), died on November 20, the Ministry reported. The deaths take the total number of fatalities to 1,283.
Meanwhile, four new cases were recorded after 55 tests were conducted, taking the total number of confirmed cases in Guyana since March 2020 to 71,545.
The new cases were recorded in Region Four (three cases) and Region Six (one case).
There are four patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit while five patients are in institutional isolation and 81 patients are in home isolation.
A total of 70, 172 patients have recovered.
