A 40-year-old woman, whose vaccination status is unknown, is Guyana’s latest COVID-19 death, the Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday in its daily COVID dashboard.
The woman died on November 12, the Ministry reported. Now, there have been a total of 1,284 COVID-19 fatalities in Guyana.
Meanwhile, ten new cases were recorded after 160 tests were conducted, taking the total number of confirmed cases in Guyana since March 2020 to 71,558.
The new cases were recorded in Region Three (one case), Region Four (seven cases) and Region Six (two case).
There are four patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit while six patients are in institutional isolation and 91 patients are in home isolation.
A total of 70, 173 patients have recovered.
