Guyana’s female footballers made a winning start to the Inter-Guiana Games 2022, edging out Suriname 2-1 at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora, on Friday afternoon.
The talented Jalade Trim opened the scoring for the home side, netting in the 16th minute.
Akeelah Vancooten then made it 2-0, scoring in the 39th minute.
Six minutes later, Suriname scored through Saveira Gallant.
