The finalists of the Male and Female segments of the Petra Organisation/MVP Sports Futsal competition will be decided on Saturday evening when semi-final action is contested at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
The tournament, sponsored by MVP Sports in partnership with Lucozade, Magnum and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, is resuming after a brief pause to facilitate the hosting of the Inter-Guiana Games last weekend.
The females will kick off the night’s proceeding at 20:00h with Police playing Tiger Bay, followed by Fruta Conquerors up against GT Panthers from 20:45h.
These matches will be followed by the male semi-finals, which start at 21:30h with Stabroek Ballers versus Future Stars and Gold is Money against Bent Street.
Co-Director of the Petra Organisation, Troy Mendonca, said four highly competitive games are envisaged, as teams will be bringing their ‘A’ game with the hope of moving one step closer to championship honours.
Mendonca is urging fans to come out and witness the games, adding that a special fan will ride away with a motorcycle on the night of the finals, compliments of Luminous Automotive and Motors.
It is one of two bikes the company is giving away, the other going to the Most Valuable Player of the male competition.
