Two more people- one female and one male- tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health reported on Saturday.
These new cases were recorded after 121 COVID-19 tests were conducted. The infected persons are all from Regions Two and Seven.
Meanwhile, on Friday, 13 persons were infected.
With these new cases, a total of 71,642 cases have been recorded in Guyana since March 2020.
Meanwhile, there are no patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) but there are eight persons in institutional isolation and 117 persons in home isolation.
To date, 70, 232 persons have recovered after they were diagnosed with the disease while 1, 285 have died.
