A 56-year-old female security guard of Seventh Avenue, Bartica, Region Seven was busted with 293 grammes of marijuana after police ranks conducted a raid at her home on Sunday night.
Police Headquarters reported that ranks acted on information received and went to the woman’s house where she resided with her 26-year-old son.
Ranks discovered a black plastic bag containing a quantity of marijuana leaves, seeds and stems in a room.
Police said the woman denied ownership of the drug.
She was later escorted to the Bartica Police Station. The woman remains in custody, assisting with the investigation.
