All of Guyana’s top students at this year’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) exams are from the Anna Regina, Education Minister Priya Manickchand announced on Thursday.
While Guyana’s top performers were previously announced, it is usually up to the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) to make the determination.
Uotam Heeralall was named as Guyana’s top-performing student for CSEC. Heerall secured 25 Grade One passes.
Taking the second spot is Ramoll Baboolall with 25 Grade One passes and two Grade Two passes. Daniel Dowding is the third best performing Guyanese student with 22 Grade One passes and three Grade Two passes.
Atishta Seenarine from the Saraswati Vidya Niketan Secondary School is Guyana’s best performing Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) student with 18 Grade Ones, followed by Vish Kistama from the Berbice High School with 15 Grade Ones and three Grade Twos.
The country’s best-performing science students are from Queen’s College – Sheridan Dyal with 15 Grade Ones and one Grade Two and Latiesha McArthur with 13 Grade Ones and two Grade Twos.
How commendable. I would not be surprised if the Anna Regina Secondary School is made one of the top Secondary Schools in the near
