Seven new COVID cases from 137 tests

Seven persons were infected with COVID-19 over the last 24 hours after 137 tests were conducted, the Ministry of Health reported on Sunday.

The infected persons are from Region Four (six cases) and Region Seven (one case).

With these new cases, a total of 71,752 cases have been recorded in Guyana since March 2020.

Meanwhile, there is no patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Five persons are in institutional isolation and 221 persons are in home isolation.

To date, 70, 241 persons have recovered after they were diagnosed with the disease, while 1, 285 have died.
