Another five persons were infected with COVID-19 over the last 24 hours after 65 tests were conducted, the Ministry of Health reported on Monday.
The infected persons are from Region Two (one case) and Region Four (four cases).
With these new cases, a total of 71,757 cases have been recorded in Guyana since March 2020.
Meanwhile, there is no patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Five persons are in institutional isolation and 216 persons are in home isolation.
To date, 70, 251 persons have recovered after they were diagnosed with the disease, while 1, 285 have died.
