Bent Street, Fruta Conquerors storm to MVP Sports Futsal titles

Bent Street and Fruta Conquerors produced dominant performances to cop the respective male and female titles upon the conclusion of the MVP Sports Futsal tournament at the National Gymnasium on Sunday.

The formidable Bent Street dispatched ‘Giant Killers’ Future Stars 8-4 led by Clive Nobrega, who scored a hat trick (13th, 27th, 40th), to cop the Most Valuable Player award of a new motorcycle from Luminous.

Nobrega got support from Omari Glasgow (19th, 33rd), William Europe (11th) and Daniel Wilson (31st).

Jamal Cozier (36th), Tyrese Denis (6th), Raushawn Ritch (35th, 39th), and an own goal from Jaeel Harlinton got Future Stars on the board.

Fruta Conquerors copped the female title

Likewise, Conquerors hammered Tiger 11-2 as Jessica Teasdale smashed a hat-trick (2nd, 19th, 29th) on her way to the MVP title while Jalade Trim got goals in the 7th, 10th, 24th and 29th while Hasha Holder (22nd) and Sandra Johnson (13th, 14th and 24th) also got on the board.

Afena Baptiste (6th) and Nina John (18th) scored for Tiger Bay.

In the female third place, Police won via walkover again GT Panthers while Stabroek Ballers got the better of Gold is Money via 6-1 margin.

In the male segment, the champion team copped $500,000, while second to fourth collected $300,000, $200,000, and $100,000 respectively.

Additionally, the top teams of each of the six groups were rewarded with $50,000, $30,000, $20,000 and $10,000 respectively.

The champion team of the female tournament received $200,000, runner-up $100,000, third $50,000, and fourth $25,000.

More so, Sheikh Khudadin, a lucky fan, won a motorcycle compliments of Luminous.
