An 18-year-old Brazilian national died at a mining camp at about 17:00hrs on Monday at the Quartstone Backdam, Cuyuni River, Region Seven (Cuyuni- Mazaruni).
Police Headquarters in a statement said that the man was reportedly working at his uncle’s dredge for several months. On Monday, however, he was found dead.
It is suspected that he died by suicide.
Statements have not been taken as yet and an investigation is in progress.
