Michael Sukhnandan, the 67-year-old resident of Cummings Lodge, Greater Georgetown, who was missing since December 16, was found on Wednesday.
According to Melisa Jhari, the man’s niece, the family received a call that he was spotted near Eccles on the East Bank of Demerara (EBD) late Tuesday night.
When family members went to the area to search for him early Wednesday morning, they did not locate him. They, however, asked police officers on duty to keep an eye out for him.
Later that morning, officers reportedly saw that man at Houston, Georgetown, and took him to the Providence Police Station on the East Bank. The family was later contacted and they have since been reunited with Sukhnandan.
