“Thank you, May the Lord bless you, this means so much to me” were just some of the kind compliments uttered to Ravi Etwaroo and his family as they distributed close to 100 hampers to less fortunate families within Enmore and nearby communities on the East of Demerara on Sunday.
Etwaroo is the proprietor of the Guyanese-owned Cricket Zone USA, one of the largest cricket retail locations in the United States of America.
According to Etwaroo, the tradition is one which preceded his days as a youngster within the community and now, his children wanted to play a role in bringing smiles to those who are in need.
“We just do this from the heart, we are not concerned about what comes in return, as long I am happy and when I am finished, my kids will take over”, the businessman expressed.
Donations were also made to the Lusignan Under-15 team and a family in Mahaicony, whose home was recently ravaged by fire.
A cricket enthusiast, Etwaroo has also sponsored numerous budding cricketers from Guyana through major brands that his store retails.
