Motorcyclist, 23, dies after colliding with parked container


Romano Ramdeen, a 23-year-old motorcyclist from Patientia on the West Bank of Demerara (WBD) died Thursday night after he collided with a stationary container along the Wales Public Road, WBD.
Police Headquarters reported that the incident occurred at about 23:00hrs. Ramdeen was riding his motorcycle (#CK 1359) on the western side of the Wales Public Road.
He was, allegedly, proceeding at a fast rate of speed when he lost control of the motorcycle and collided with the container which was parked on the western grass parapet.
As a result of the collision, Ramdeen was flung into the container. He received several injuries about his head and body.
The 23-year-old man was reportedly picked up by public-spirited persons in an unconscious state and taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The body is presently at Ezekiel Funeral Parlor awaiting a post mortem examination.
