Several persons injured in Essequibo collision
The accident scene
An early morning collision, which occurred at Hibernia on the Essequibo Coast, Sunday has left five persons injured.
The accident occurred around 8:00hrs involving two vehicles, PXX 4632 and PXX 8405.
The driver of motor car PXX 8405, Angelia Simon, said that she encountered a blowout to the left side rear wheel and she lost control of the car, crashing into PXX 4632 which was driven by Ivan Layne.
The drivers and passengers were assisted by residents and taken to the Suddie hopsital.
Simon sustained head trauma and lacerations about her body, while Layne has chest pain, head trauma and lacerations about his body.
Adzar Mohammed and a 12-year-old child, both passengers, received injuries about their bodies.
Police are currently investigating.
