Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh on Monday announced that the old-age pension has been increased to $33,000.
This increase, he said while presenting the 2023 National Budget, will benefit about 73,000 pensioners who will get an additional $60,000 annually.
And this measure, Dr. Singh said, will add another $4.4 billion in disposable income in the economy.
It takes effect from January 01, 2023.
