Shotguns found in Corentyne house confiscated by CANU ranks


Two 12-gauge shotguns were found Sunday in the living room of a house at Dukestown, Corentyne Berbice.

Officers from the Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) conducted a search at the residence and following the discovery the weapons were confiscated and transported to CANU’s Headquarters.

An individual later identified as John Byass, was seen fleeing as the officers were gaining entry to the location.

A wanted bulletin has been published

Investigations are ongoing.
