Police Headquarters on Monday said 3.2 pounds of cannabis was found at an abandoned structure at Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo.
According to the Police release, ranks from Regional Division #3, acting on information received, went to Tuschen at about 12:30hrs where the unfinished concrete structure is covered with bushes.
The ranks observed a bulky black plastic bag in the building on the floor, in a heap of grass. The bag was searched and three parcels wrapped in a transparent plastic wrap containing leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis were found.
The suspected marijuana was taken to Leonora Police Station and it was weighed and amounted to 1,480 grammes (3.2 pounds).
