‘Coco Tea’ busted with $5.9M worth of marijuana at Norton Street

Ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) on Wednesday arrested Georgetown businessman, 50-year-old Kirk ‘Coco Tea’ Browne following the discovery of some 42 lbs of marijuana at Norton Street, Lodge.

A press release from CANU on Thursday noted that a search was conducted in and around the said premises, which led to the discovery of a quantity of suspected parcels of cannabis.

Browne and others who were at the location were arrested and escorted to CANU’s Headquarters where the substance tested positive for cannabis and weighed approximately 42 lbs. with a street value of GY$5.9 Million.

CANU said the investigation is ongoing.
