Kares CrossFit’s Caribbean Championship set for April 15-16
Kares CrossFit will be breaking new grounds in April with the hosting of the first-ever locally-organised Caribbean Championship in Georgetown.
The two-day event, which will comprise a number of gruelling CrossFit workouts, will be held on April 15-16 with the venues being the National Aquatic Centre at Liliendaal and the National Park Tarmac.

Coordinator Jamie McDonald said the aim is to attract CrossFit athletes from Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Jamaica, St. Marteen, Aruba, French Guiana and other Caribbean nations, up against their Guyanese counterparts.
Ideally, the overall target is 40 athletes who will compete in the male and female categories.
According to McDonald, on the opening day, the competitors will be involved in activities similar to a triathlon at the National Aquatic Centre, while on the following day, the championship will be opened to the public, with specific workouts being done in the open on the National Park Tarmac.
Notably, top athletes Dillon Mahadeo and Delice Adonis have confirmed their participation in the championship and will lead Guyana’s charge at the event.
Registration is now open and athletes desirous of competing are required to pay a fee of US$25.
Registration can be done at Fitness Express on Sheriff Street or on the Kares CrossFit Caribbean Championship pages on Facebook and Instagram. Click here for registration form
